Great apps, built for flow
We only build tools we use every day. Native Swift, your data never leaves your machine, and every release is driven by real user feedback.
Our apps
Each one starts with a small pain point — and goes all the way.

Why NovaSnap
An indie developer's work: real capability and uncompromising craft — every piece of feedback gets read.
Privacy is the default, not a setting
Capture, recording and OCR all run locally. No accounts — no sign-in, no uploads, no analytics, no tracking. Your data never leaves the device.
Native, light, always there
Lives in your menu bar, not the Dock. Built with Swift and system APIs, native on both Apple Silicon and Intel — fast to launch, light to run.
Better the more you use it
Every tool remembers its own color and stroke; shortcuts, toolbar, watermark and storage are all tunable — settings with real depth.
Plugs into your workflow
The novasnap CLI, Shortcuts actions, seven export formats and filename templates — scripts and automations welcome.
What NovaSnap can do
Three core features, shown in pictures — the full list awaits on the product page.
Pixel-perfect region capture
Drag to capture with a live size badge. An 8× magnifier snaps you to pixel edges, arrow keys nudge pixel-by-pixel, number keys 1–9 lock aspect ratios, ⌘1–⌘9 memorize 9 favorite sizes, and D restores your last region.
Pro annotation editor
17 tools at hand: rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, pen, text, mosaic, numbered steps, stickers… The property panel adapts to each tool, with 12 arrow line styles × 11 arrowheads and per-tool memory of your preferences.
Recording, from capture to cut
Fullscreen, region, window or a secondary display — H.264 / HEVC encoding, 15–60 fps, four bitrate tiers. Mix system audio with your mic, overlay a camera PiP, visualize clicks and keystrokes, watermark every frame; then trim, crop and export.
